Business Operations Manager
Enlightened Privacy, PC is a micro-boutique data protection law practice poised to take the next step. We're looking for a proactive, dynamic, and motivated team member to support our team as our Business Operations Manager.
This multifaceted role is responsible for supporting EP with business operations, client relations, and business development and marketing activities. The successful candidate will be the go-to person for coordinating and leading day-to-day operations, as well as driving and project-managing special projects

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities of the Role)
Client Relations:
Manage all aspects of client relations, including intake, onboarding, handling general inquiries, ongoing outreach, and maintaining client lists.
Project-manage the creation and distribution of client communications, templates, and specialized outreach.
Business Operations:
Oversee day-to-day business operations, including project managing new and existing technology rollouts (e.g., CLM, Google Workspace), and coordinating with IT support for technical and security updates.
Manage and track ongoing operational needs and projects, including annual business/legal filings, reporting, certification requirements, and quarterly tasks.
Maintain organization of files and email inboxes within Google Workspace and other shared drives.
Provide administrative support to the Founder for scheduling, travel, event planning, and task management, including creating clear agendas and dashboards.
Business Development and Marketing:
Lead business development and marketing efforts, including creating and managing quarterly client newsletters and other email communications, and tracking content metrics and engagement.
Manage and enhance social media accounts (e.g., LinkedIn), including post scheduling, content creation (using tools like Canva), and engagement tracking.
Maintain and update the EP website (Squarespace) and manage marketing timelines/calendars.

You are collaborative, leveraging virtual tools like Slack, Google Meet, and shared docs to maximize efficiency and results.
Creative and Empathetic Mindset: You bring a high level of emotional maturity and empathy to your work and interactions, and are open to learning and sharing feedback. You are creative in both thought and execution (visual arts, text, with or without AI), and are skilled in marketing content creation, writing clear, engaging copy for newsletters and social media posts, and proficient in Canva.
Education and Experience Requirements
Required
Proven proficiency in a suite of business tools, including Google Workspace, Slack, Canva, email marketing apps (e.g., Kit), and social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn).
Must have at least two (2) years of experience supporting C-suite executives/founders and managing operations for a small business, including implementing clear procedures.
Experience with law practice management software/CRM and an interest in the Squarespace editor and website management are essential.
Preferred
A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Ideal candidates will have experience in the legal field (law firm or paralegal experience) and practical knowledge of setting up and implementing new small business technology tools.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience managing and implementing small-business marketing strategies, managing social media accounts, coordinating with marketing consultants, and using generative AI tools.
Role Details
Reporting Structure: This role reports directly to the Founder of EP and works closely with the Founder and Senior Associate(s). The position also requires coordination with EP’s IT, bookkeeping, marketing, and other contractors or service providers.
Time Commitment & Schedule: This is a part-time role with an expected commitment of 14-15 hours per week. Availability is required on 3 dedicated days each week, to be agreed upon prior to the start date. Schedule must align with Pacific Time (e.g., 10 am - 3 pm PT Tues, Weds, Thurs). Any special project requiring additional time will be discussed and agreed upon in advance.
Location: The role is fully remote, with the option for periodic in-person meetings if the selected candidate is local to the San Francisco Bay Area.
Compensation and Legal Details: This is a 1099 independent contractor role. Pay is hourly, with an expected range of $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience.
Technology: Candidates must provide their own computer with appropriate security software installed.
